Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butter: Review

I’m quite sure you all know about Revlon’s Colorburst Lip Butters. They sold out like crazy the time it went out in the market. And everybody seems to love them and brought out amazing reviews. But, I’d like to articulate my impression with them.

Revlon Colorburst in Berry Smoothie and Candy Apple

I got two from their amazing range of super girly shades. I have Apple Candy and Berry Smoothie. I chose these two because they are very different color and make very different looks. Apple Candy is red orange but wearable since its pigmentation is build-able from sheer to pretty opaque, it’s creamy and has sheen finish, I like wearing this on days that I want a pop of nice color on my face. On the other hand, Berry Smoothie is an everyday staple kind of lip color, it’s like my lip color, only better, and it has subtle shimmer in it. Berry Smoothie is definitely more wearable and the one I reach out for most of the time. As for formulation, both and maybe all of the colors are creamy and moisturizing, which lip butters are supposed to be.

In the Philippines, Revlon Lip Butter retails for 552 php. If you’re planning to purchase this, they have good range of color selection. And if you’re someone who’s just starting with makeup, I'd recommend trying these lip butters first before lipstick and lipgloss, because it’s like lipbalm and stain in one and you can choose an everyday wearable color.

If you're looking for a gift for a girly friend, or your mom and sisters, these make good gifts as well. I got my mom Cherry Tart for Mother’s Day and she loves it.
